Yoga for Arthritis
January 9 - February 13
Mondays from 2:00-3:00pm

This gentle yoga class/session will help improve circulation & balance, strengthen weak muscles, increase flexibility and reduce stiffness.  We will practice postures, breathing techniques, mudras and mantras.  The goals include: learning how yoga can help manage your arthritis and learning techniques that you can take off the mat to increase your quality of life.

Yoga for Menopause
February 20 - March 26
Mondays from 2:00-3:00pm

Yoga has so many aspects to it, not just asana/posture practice.  We'll use Pranayama (breathing) technique to help us learn how to relax on and off the mat.  We'll use Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses) when practicing Restorative Postures.  We'll examine mantras and mudras to help us focus with intention.  And we'll examine the power of positive thinking and creative visualization.

The wisdom of menopause has so much to teach us - if we listen closely.  The session will include weekly discussions about complementary and alternative approaches to managing menopause symptoms.
