My bio
The revelation of the physical and spiritual
benefits of my own yoga practice and health exploration led to the
contemplation of teaching yoga and becoming a life/wellness coach,
with the intention to share the benefits of yoga and healthy living
with others. The joy of teaching and coaching, as well as
observing students'/coachees' "AHA" moments, is a wonderful
blessing. It is an honor to have the opportunity to be
included in the journey of others, be a witness to the inspiration
and change it can reveal, and how that can be expressed in the way
we live our lives and interact with others.
In addition to teaching yoga for 12 years, I have led the Yoga New Hampshire
Teacher Training/Develop Your Practice (TT/DYP) program for 6 years.
In my previous work life, I held a leadership position at a state-wide human
service position for 8 years. The skills
and experience I gained in that position easily transitioned to my role in
leading the Living Yoga community, the yoga studio I founded, as
well as the TT/DYP program.
My family and friends have always told me that I have natural coaching abilities
and that led me to explore coaching certifications - UNH
Professional Coaching Certification and The HYL Health Coach
Certification.
It is my goal to be a part of students and coachees lives in a way that is meaningful
and profound toward assisting them to discover and live their life
purpose and
TO LIVE LIFE ON PURPOSE.
One of my
favorite mantras is:
Sat. Chit. Ananda.
In Sanskrit translating to:
Love. Knowingness. Bliss.
It is my sincere hope to inspire friends, family, yoga students and coachees to:
- live a fulfilled life, with
love
- trust our intuition, our inner knowing
- examine what feeds our souls, to live a blissful life
I have so many wonderful teachers. My primary teachers are Kathy McNames,
owner/director of
YogaVermont,
Mimi Loureiro,
owner/director of
O2
Yoga and Ryma and Aida
Bielkus of
The HYL Method. I graduated from Mimi's very first O2's
200 hour Teacher Training of intensive study in foundations and
teaching philosophies of yoga,
was in Kathy's first small and intimate yoga teacher training group,
and graduated from Kathy's 500 hour Teacher Training Program.
I am an E-RYT 500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga
Alliance and I have
completed coaching programs with UNH's Professional Coaching Certification and
The HYL's certified Health Coaching program. Other inspirational
teachers include Beryl
Bender Birch,
David Swenson, Nicki Doane, Eddie Modestini, Govinda Kai, Beth
Berkeley, Jeanne Ann Whittington, and Margaret Fletcher.
And more teachers - both on & off the mat - include students in my yoga classes, students
in the Teacher Training Program, extended family, my spectacular
friends, my a-mazing granddaughters, my fabulous children, and my
wonderful, supportive husband. Yoga is life, life is yoga....
there are so many opportunities to pay attention to what situations
are here to teach us and by being present with those who we are in
relationship with, we can learn so much about what is important to
us as we live life and make choices.
May we be filled with lovingkindness: May we be well in body, mind,
& spirit; May be we happy & at ease.

Lovingkindness, & Peace
